Consistent Mid-Race Pacing with a Strong Finish Lisa Wilber demonstrated steady pacing at the 2025 Mesa Marathon, maintaining an average pace of 7:53 minutes per mile over the course of 26.2 miles. Notably, she excelled in the F45-49 division, clinching the 15th spot. Throughout the first half of the race, Lisa's mile times fluctuated slightly, with an especially swift 7:26 in mile 7, highlighting her capacity to surge when necessary. Her strategic pacing allowed her to climb steadily, culminating in a robust final mile split of 7:14, which improved her overall standing. Lisa sustained her focus and endurance, finishing 148th in her gender category out of 3,624 total participants. She demonstrated particular resilience during mile 19, where despite a slower split of 8:33, she made a remarkable recovery.
