Strong Performance with Even Pacing Jared Armstrong showcased impressive pacing throughout the 2025 Mesa Marathon. His splits were consistently strong, with a marked acceleration at mile 25, completing it in 5:41 min/mile, the same pace he started with at mile 1. Notably, miles 9 and 18 were completed at an impressive 5:43 min/mile, underscoring his ability to maintain speed. Jared's split at mile 26 was his fastest of the entire race at 5:04 min/mile, demonstrating an excellent finishing kick. Jared finished the marathon with an overall time of 2:34:31, holding a remarkable average pace of 5:53 min/mile. His determined performance positioned him 17th overall out of 3,624 participants and 5th in his division for males aged 25-29. Staying consistent with this pace while potentially minimizing the slower splits, like those at miles 5 and 21, could extend Jared's strong performance even further in future races. Great teamwork was evident as a member of the Flat Out Running Club.
