Consistency with a Strong Finish Chris completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon in an impressive time of 2:54:01, maintaining a steady pace of 6:38 min/mile. This consistent pacing strategy is evident throughout his splits, with most hovering around that 6:38 mark. Notably, Chris gained momentum in the later miles, exemplified by his 20th mile, which was completed in 6:01, marking his fastest split of the race. This shows a well-managed energy reserve strategy, allowing for a strong finish. In a field of 3,624 runners, Chris's performance secured him 122nd place overall, 117th among male participants, and 23rd in his age division (M25-29). Focusing on mile 5 and mile 13, where there was a slight pace drop (7:07 and 7:26, respectively), could provide opportunities for maintaining even more consistent splits.
