Date: February 8, 2025 Participant: Norm Duve #20929 Race: 2025 Mesa 10K Distance: 6.2 miles Weather: Perfect running conditions at 63°F, partly cloudy skies, and a slight breeze from the east in Mesa, AZ.

Consistent Race Effort with Strong Finish Norm Duve completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K with a total time of 1:38:02, maintaining an overall pace of 15:48 min/mile. His performance placed him 40th in the M60-64 division. Norm demonstrated consistency throughout the race, beginning with a strong start at mile 1, clocking 15:41 min/mile. Notably, his pace increased in mile 6, despite the natural fatigue factor, returning to a split pace of 15:39 min/mile. Analyzing the splits, there was a slight pace variation, particularly between miles 2 and 3, with a slower split of 16:21. However, he managed to bring his pace back down subsequently. Norm's consistent performance kept him competitive, particularly within his age division. Focusing on maintaining a stable pace across all splits might further enhance his results. Joining his team, Copa Health, provided a solid support system for this endurance challenge. Great effort, Norm!
