Consistent Effort with Notable Progression Adam Bliven entered the 2025 Mesa Marathon with a solid performance and demonstrated noteworthy consistency in his pacing. He started strong, particularly in splits 3 and 4, with paces of 9:38 and 9:51 minutes per mile, outperforming many in his division. Throughout the early miles, he maintained an impressive pace, showcasing resilience and steady performance. Towards the latter stages of the race, splits began to slow, with the pace exceeding 13 minutes per mile by mile 16 and progressing to 15:04 in the final split. Despite this, Adam concluded the marathon in 5:21:23, registering a pace improvement over his previous marathon time in 2022 by over ten minutes. In the male 60-64 division, Adam positioned 62nd. Considering the overall progression noted, optimizing consistent pacing in the latter miles could further enhance future race outcomes.
