Consistent Acceleration and Improved Performance Sarah demonstrated a remarkable improvement at the 2025 Mesa Marathon. Notably, she shaved off 1:35 from her previous 10K time, clocking in at 53:00, which represents a significant pace enhancement from 8:48 to 8:33 min/mile. Her consistent acceleration was evident from her splits, with a noteworthy split time of 7:26 covering the last mile—the fastest of the race. Ending with an overall position of 248 out of 2107 participants and 11th in her division, she showcased significant progress compared to her prior performance. Her splits display a steady and strategic pace development, starting from 9:51 min/mile and concluding at 8:34 min/mile for the total distance. Being part of the Rocky Mountain Racers, Sarah's improvement in her gender and division rankings also highlights her advancement: she moved from 20th to 11th in her age group. Continuing to refine her pace strategy could lead to even further advancements in future races.
