Consistent Splits and a Solid Finish Rajesh Kumar ran the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon, covering 13.1 miles with a finish time of 2:52:12. His overall pace was 13:08 min/mile. The race began with a steady 11:42 min/mile pace and fluctuated slightly over the course, ranging from 11:26 to 16:02 min/mile. Notably, the initial miles showcased a tighter pace with mile 1 at 11:42 min/mile and mile 2 improving to 11:26 min/mile. However, a gradual pace decline in the middle miles was observed, reaching 15:16 min/mile at mile 11 but improving back to 12:41 min/mile at mile 13. Rajesh placed 3001st overall out of 3859 participants, showing strong endurance and perseverance. Within his age division M45-49, he was ranked 156th. The final stretch saw a recovery in his pace, indicating a well-executed effort in maintaining form. Comparing to his previous 10K race, where he held an 11:29 min/mile pace, focusing on pacing strategies for future long-distance events might bring positive results.
