Steady Progression through Consistent Pacing Langxiong Wu's performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon showcased excellent pacing improvement. With a finishing time of 2:26:39 for the half marathon, Langxiong achieved an average pace of 11:11 min/mile. This marks significant progress compared to last year’s pace of 12:31 min/mile. Notably, between mile 2 and mile 6, his split pace consistently improved from 11:24 to 10:30 min/mile. While the later miles showed slight variations, Langxiong maintained an impressively consistent overall pace. His final mile was clocked at 10:49 min/mile, an indicator of strong endurance. In a field of 3,859 participants, Langxiong placed 136th in his division (M40-44) and 1,240th among his gender. Langxiong's disciplined approach with pacing should be further fine-tuned to potentially enhance his mid-race splits. It may benefit him to train for maintaining mid-race speed, ensuring sustained energy as he progresses to finish even stronger.
