Consistent Early Splits with Opportunity to Sustain Pace Longer Christopher from Brooklyn Park, MN, executed a strong start at the 2025 Mesa Marathon. His initial three miles showed impressive consistency, maintaining a sub-6:30 pace between 6:25 and 6:28 minutes per mile. This early pace contributed to strong initial placements: 9th in his division and inside the top 170 overall within the first few miles. In the later miles, Christopher experienced a gradual pace increase, crossing the finish line with an overall time of 3:02:09 and an average pace of 6:57 per mile. His endurance was noteworthy, as he finished 11th in the M45-49 division among 227 participants, signaling competitiveness within his age group. Maintaining the early pace beyond the mid-section of the race could be a potential focus for future improvements. Congratulations on a strong showing and for representing the Boston Buddies!
