Consistent Pace with a Strong Finish Chris Mock from Mesa, AZ, exhibited a steady and consistent performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K. Starting strong, Chris maintained an initial split pace of 11:35 min/mile. As the race progressed, his pace varied slightly, with the slowest pace being 12:15 min/mile recorded between miles 2 and 3. Impressively, he finished strong with a final mile split time of 11:14 min/mile, contributing to his overall elapsed time of 1:13:18 and an average pace of 11:49 min/mile. In regards to place, Chris held steady in his division and gender placing, ultimately finishing 27th in the Male 50-54 division out of all participants. A key point for future improvement could be focusing on maintaining his initial faster pace without losing speed in the mid-section of the race.
