Progressive Pace with Strong Finish Karen Duffy demonstrated consistent improvement in her 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K race. Starting with an 11:01 min/mile pace for her first mile, she steadily increased her speed, completing mile two at a 10:23 min/mile pace and mile three at 10:05 min/mile. Her pace significantly improved, reaching 9:19 min/mile by mile four and further dropping to 9:12 min/mile by mile five. In the final stretch, Karen achieved her fastest mile with a remarkable 8:16 min/mile pace. Overall, she completed the 10K in 1:00:09, averaging an impressive 9:42 min/mile pace. Karen finished 45th in her division (F35-39) out of 6.2 miles, and overall placement was 519th out of 2107 participants.
