Consistent Performance with Strong Final Surge Mason Frank from Papillon, NB represented McKirdy Trained remarkably in the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon. Over his 13.1-mile journey, Mason maintained commendable pacing. Notably, his overall pace was 5:19 min/mile, with his fastest split at an impressive 4:48 min/mile during the 13th mile. Throughout the race, he consistently competed in the top tier of his M35-39 division, securing 2nd place. Mason achieved an overall time of 1:09:43, among the top 30 out of 3,859 participants. A particular strength was his ability to manage transitions through varying paces. While his pace was steadier compared to his 2022 race at the same event, where he posted a 1:04:51 finish, the efforts to sustain energy over the course were evident. Continuing to refine pacing strategies in the initial miles might aid in competing even more closely with such strong previous performances.
