Consistent Performance with Opportunities for Strategic Pacing Kevin Haywood completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon in 5:48:05, averaging a pace of 13:17 min/mile over the 26.2-mile course. Notably, Kevin maintained a consistent pace in the early stages, with variations ranging from 10:21 min/mile to 10:41 min/mile within the first eight miles. The split at mile 7 was a highlight, achieving the fastest pace of 9:54 min/mile. Overall, Kevin held strong throughout, placing 98th in his M55-59 division out of a total of 3624 participants. As the race continued, Kevin's pace began to show some variation, increasing to 13:42 and subsequently reaching up to 17:40 min/mile by mile 25. Despite the challenging latter stages, his overall time showed strong control, achieving a faster finish than in his 2022 performance.
