Consistent Improvement Showcased During the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K, Jana OBarr demonstrated a steady improvement in her pace over the course of the race. Beginning with an 18:05 min/mile pace in the first mile, she progressively quickened her pace to finish the final mile at 16:32 min/mile. Her overall pace was 17:05 min/mile. This consistent improvement is noteworthy and displays her ability to maintain and gradually quicken her speed despite race fatigue. Jana placed 64th in her age division (F60-64) and was 972nd among female participants out of 2107 total competitors. Her sequential split improvements—each faster than the last—reveal a positive pacing strategy.
