Consistent Effort and Controlled Pacing at the 2025 Mesa Marathon Wilhelm maintained a commendable level of consistency throughout his half marathon, with only slight variations in his pace. He started at an 11:40 min/mile pace for the first mile and showed improvement in subsequent miles, notably achieving a 9:28 min/mile in the 6th mile, which was his fastest split. This demonstrates the potential for increased bursts of speed interspersed with his solid steady pacing. His placement fluctuated but remained stable, with his best division placement at 165th during the 8th mile. Wilhelm finished the half marathon in 2:30:33, holding an average pace of 11:29 min/mile. Maintaining a positive trend in pacing in the earlier or final miles could benefit his overall positioning. Continuing to harness his steady pace with a focus on reducing time in slower sections will help to enhance future race performances.
