Date: February 8, 2025 Participant: Chang wei Liu #12455 Race: 2025 Mesa Marathon Distance: 26.2 miles Weather: Perfect running conditions at 63°F, partly cloudy skies, and a slight breeze from the east in Mesa, AZ.

Consistent Start, Endurance Building Needed Chang wei Liu demonstrated a strong start in the 2025 Mesa Marathon with an initial 7:26 min/mile pace, ranking 515th overall. His pace remained consistent through mile four, with splits between 7:25 and 7:36 min/mile. Notably, his strongest split was at mile one, where he maintained the fastest pace. However, by mile eight, the pace slightly decreased to 8:02 min/mile. As the race progressed beyond mile 17, splits exceeded 8 min/mile, reaching a peak of 15:10 min/mile at mile 21. The overall race finished at a time of 3:57:37, with an average pace of 9:04 min/mile. Enhancing pacing strategy and overall stamina in later miles could be beneficial for next time, particularly to maintain early efficiency through to the end. It’s promising to see he maintained position within his division, concluding with a respectable placing of 151st. Great job representing TSMC!
