Consistent Performance with a Strong Finish Vanesa maintained a commendable pace throughout the 2025 Mesa Marathon, averaging a solid 7:57 min/mile over the 26.2-mile course. Her pacing displayed admirable discipline, starting with a strong opening mile at 7:44 and finishing the marathon in 3:28:17. She showed consistent pacing in the middle miles, with notable speeds at the 17-mile mark of 7:28 min/mile, which was the fastest split after her initial miles. Vanesa ranked 16th in her division of F45-49 among 3624 total participants, underscoring improved performance from her previous marathon in 2022. Her training with the Boston Buddies appears to be yielding positive results.
