Consistent Pace and Strong Finish Mark Performance Samir Younis, from Decatur, GA, representing the Atlanta Run Club, completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon in a time of 1:53:17. His overall pace averaged 8:38 minutes per mile. Throughout the race, Samir demonstrated a notable ability to manage pace, with a strong progression in the latter splits, culminating in a final mile split of 7:58. His performance placed him 1,025th overall out of 3,859 participants and 65th in his division for Males aged 45-49. In the initial portion of the race, Samir started with a split pace of 9:41 but improved significantly, reaching an 8:09 pace at the 10-mile mark. His strongest improvement was evident in the final 3 miles, which he completed at sub-8:10 pace, finishing strongly. For future races, he might want to explore strategies to maintain this improved pace consistently from the start. Well done on maintaining a strong finish!
