Consistent Splits with a Strong Start and Steady Finish Jesse Chang delivered a consistent performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon. He maintained a strong early pace, clocking an initial mile in 8:12. Notably, Jesse's early splits were consistent, with four out of the first five miles recorded at an average pace between 8:12 and 8:50 min/mile. This early momentum positioned him well within his division, where he progressed from 113th in the M30-34 division to maintaining positions around the top 200 by mile 6. As the race progressed, Jesse adjusted his pace effectively, managing a final pace of 9:32 min/mile. His slowest split was recorded at mile 23 with a 13:18 pace, suggesting a brief slowdown.
