Consistent Race Pacing with Potential for Strategic Enhancements Omar Rivera from Phoenix, AZ, had a consistent performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon, completing the 26.2-mile race with a total time of 3:59:38 and maintaining an average pace of 9:08 minutes per mile. Notably, Omar showed steady pacing, with the majority of his splits hovering around the 9:00 to 9:10 min/mile range. His strongest split occurred at mile 24, where his pace accelerated to 8:31 min/mile. Despite slight fluctuations in pace, Omar finished 143rd in his division (Men 40-44), placing 1051st in his gender and 1528th overall out of 3624 participants. His mid-to-late race splits showed a level of endurance and maintained speed, which is promising. For future races, a focus on earlier speed and maintaining energy in the mid-stages could be beneficial to enhance overall performance.
