Consistent Pace Improvements Throughout the Race Michael Boyd demonstrated notable consistency and improvement across his splits in the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon, representing the Atlanta Run Club. His overall time was 2:25:06, with an average pace of 11:04 min/mile. Starting with a 12:12 min/mile pace for the first mile, Michael impressively shaved off over a minute per mile by the final 13th mile, which he completed in 10:46. Consistency was key as he maintained a progressive improvement with significant jumps in the latter half of the race. Particularly noteworthy was Michael's performance from mile 8 onwards; he dropped below an 11:10 min/mile pace and sustained it through to the finish. With continued focus on maintaining his momentum early on and further fine-tuning his start pace, Michael can enhance his overall performance in future events.
