Consistent Pacing with a Strong Finish Marissa Lenger, representing McKirdy Trained, completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon with consistent pacing, highlighting her strength and endurance. She maintained a steady pace throughout, averaging 5:53 min/mile over the 13.1-mile course. Notably, Marissa finished with a strong final mile, clocking in at 5:21 min/mile, her fastest split of the race. She demonstrated resilience with a total elapsed time of 1:17:06, placing her 3rd in the F30-34 division. Throughout the race, Marissa fluctuated slightly in her overall positioning, from 57th to 80th place overall, while finishing as the 13th female out of thousands. Despite some splits, such as miles 4 and 7, where her pace was slower at 6:21 min/mile, she showed the ability to recover and improve her pace. Maintaining focus on sustaining her rapid early pace could further optimize future performances. Overall, it was a solid performance with excellent endurance showcase.
