Rob's Progressive Acceleration Shines Rob Lindley from Sacramento participated in the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon. As part of the "Flying Javelinas," Rob showed a solid effort with an overall finishing time of 2:10:59 and a pace of 9:59 min/mile. His impressive acceleration is notable, especially in the latter half of the race. His placement in the Male 50-54 division was 83rd out of 3859 total participants. Throughout the race, Rob improved his pace progressively. Starting with an initial 11:12 min/mile, he hit his fastest split during the final mile at 8:18 min/mile. Notably, between mile 7 and mile 8, his ranking improved substantially. Rob's ability to steadily decrease his mile split times throughout the race indicates a strong understanding of race pacing, providing valuable lessons for future competitions. To enhance future performances, maintaining consistent split reductions earlier in the race could yield even better results.
