Consistent Pace with a Strong Finish Jorge ran the 2025 Mesa Marathon with an overall time of 4:22:56, maintaining an average pace of 10:02 min/mile over the 26.2-mile race. He started strong, with an initial pace of 9:29 min/mile, and found peak speed at mile 17 with his fastest split of 9:04 min/mile. His pacing showed slight variations throughout, yet he managed a strategic recovery, capping the final mile at 9:15 min/mile, demonstrating increased strength toward the end of the race. His overall place was 1997 out of 3624 participants. Within his division, Male 30-34, Jorge ranked 230th, and he was 1321st among male runners. His performance was consistent as he successfully adjusted his pace after a slower segment at mile 8, the slowest being 12:09 min/mile. There's a great opportunity to leverage pacing techniques from mile 17 in future races to improve consistency. The dedication and effort shown were highly commendable.
