Consistent Effort with Opportunities to Enhance Experience Brad maintained a steady start in the 2025 Mesa Marathon with a consistent pace under 10 minutes per mile for the first eight miles. Notably, his fastest split occurred between miles 11 and 12 at an 8:35 min/mile pace, indicating a strong mid-race push. However, from mile 16 onwards, the pace exceeded 10 minutes per mile, ultimately leading to a final average pace of 10:19 min/mile over the 26.2 miles. This represented a noticeable change from Brad's 2023 performance at the same event where his average pace was 9:55 min/mile. His overall time was 4:30:22, positioning him 143rd in the M45-49 division out of 3624 participants. Despite a slower marathon relative to prior years, the consistency in the initial splits remains commendable. Continued focus on endurance beyond the midway point could help regain previous performances, aiming to sustain the pace demonstrated in earlier portions of the course.
