Steady Progress with Quick Finishes Lesa Carlin from Gilbert, AZ ran the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K with a final time of 1:43:59, maintaining an average pace of 16:46 min/mile. Across the six-mile course, Lesa exhibited consistent improvement, starting with a first mile pace of 17:51 min/mile and speeding up to 15:40 min/mile by the sixth mile. Notably, her pace quickened toward the end, where she achieved her fastest split in the last mile. She placed 61st in the F60-64 division and was part of the Black Girls RUN! team. Maintaining or increasing this finishing momentum from the beginning could enhance her performance even further in future races.
