Consistent Splits with a Strong Start Tylon Butler began his half marathon at a strong and controlled pace, clocking a 7:29 min/mile for the first mile, which initially positioned him at 310th place overall and 21st in his division. He maintained a commendable pace throughout the first half of the race, with the pace marginally improving each mile, reaching a swift 7:04 min/mile by mile 3. His overall position shifted slightly from 310th to 407th by the third mile. In the latter stages of the race, Tylon's pace saw a gradual decline. By mile 7, the pace slowed to 8:18 min/mile and gradually decreased to 9:04 min/mile by mile 12. He completed the race with an overall time of 1:45:03, maintaining an average pace of 8:01 min/mile. While his early splits were robust, focusing on maintaining that initial pace throughout the race could improve future performances.
