Steady Pace with Strategic Improvements in Mind Jacob Granner, 19, from Mesa, AZ, ran the 2025 Mesa Marathon completing the 26.2-mile course in 4:05:56. His performance reflected a consistent pace, averaging 9:23 minutes per mile. Jacob showed a strong start with the first mile clocked in at 8:47 but experienced some slowdowns after the 8-mile mark. Despite this, he managed to maintain an overall steady pace throughout the race. A notable highlight was Jacob's rebound after the 5-mile mark where he recorded a faster 6th mile split of 6:42. His placement across various categories was 1132nd in the male gender group and 133rd in the M19-24 division.
