Accelerated Finish and Steady Improvement in 10K Gregory Gonzalez demonstrated remarkable consistency and notable acceleration during the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K. Starting strong, he maintained a steady pace, finishing with an impressive overall time of 38:13. His understanding of pacing is evident as he consistently improved his split times, particularly in the final mile, where he clocked an outstanding 5:04, the fastest of his race. Gregory finished 38th overall out of 2107 participants and secured 10th in his division. Gregory's transition from his previous marathon performance showed significant improvement in pacing strategy, highlighting effective training and speed endurance gains. His association with PHX Run Club seems to be paying dividends. To further enhance performance, Gregory might focus on refining his pace in the early miles to harness energy for a more aggressive finish. Emphasizing a solid start without compromising speed could lead to even better results in future races.
