Consistent Pace and Strong Division Finish Carson Rey maintained impressive consistency during the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K. Starting with a strong pace of 5:33 min/mile and covering the first mile in 5:33, he was initially placed 7th overall and 1st in his division. Though his pace varied slightly, dropping to 5:51 min/mile by the third mile, Carson managed to record a remarkable split time of 4:45 in the final mile, showcasing an excellent finish. His overall elapsed time was 34:10, with an average pace of 5:30 min/mile. Carson placed 8th in the competitive M25-29 division with 2107 total participants. Compared to his previous race at the 2024 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon where he ran a 5:50 min/mile pace, he's shown significant improvement in pace. Focusing on split consistency between the second and fourth miles, where pace slightly declined, could further enhance performance. His ability to finish strong indicates potential to optimize race strategies for future events.
