Consistent Pacing with Opportunities for Finish Line Gains Randi West, hailing from Mount Laurel, NJ, delivered a commendable performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon. Her pacing was notably consistent, maintaining an overall pace of 8:35 min/mile across the 26.2-mile course. Early splits were particularly impressive; Randi kept a steady pace under 8 minutes per mile up to mile 3, with her fastest mile at 7:33 during mile 4. Despite a mid-race slowdown in pace, she managed to stabilize her timing in the latter stages, finishing with an official time of 3:44:57. Randi's strategic efforts kept her competitive in the Female 45-49 division, with a steady ascent in placement mid-race. While she ended up in 35th division place, her performance among over 3600 participants underscored her endurance capabilities.
