Date: February 8, 2025 Participant: Rahul Saptal #22005 Race: 2025 Mesa 10K Distance: 6.2 miles Weather: Perfect running conditions at 63°F, partly cloudy skies, and a slight breeze from the east in Mesa, AZ.

Steady Pace and Gradual Improvement Rahul Saptal, representing the Pahadi Panthers from Chandler, AZ, completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K with an overall time of 1:38:57, maintaining an average pace of 15:57 min/mile. Notable improvements were seen in the latter part of the race. Rahul’s final mile split of 15:37 was his quickest, showing excellent pacing through the race with an overall division placement of 84th in the M40-44 category. Analyzing his splits, Rahul began the race with a 16:29 min/mile which he improved over miles two and three with paces of 15:41 and 16:00 min/mile, respectively. The fourth mile saw a slight pace decrease to 16:34, suggesting focus on maintaining a consistent energy output. His performance emphasized a steady run with strategic pacing adjustments. Continuing to work on maintaining pace through the middle miles could help bridge the small fluctuation before mile five, while preserving energy for a finishing push.
