Consistent Performance with a Strong Finish Marcella Perez delivered a consistent performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K. Maintaining a steady pace, Marcella's split times showed slight improvements, especially notable in the latter half of the race. Starting with a steady 13:11 min/mile pace for the first two miles, she displayed growing momentum, clocking a quicker 12:04 min/mile pace by the fifth mile. This effort led to a commendable finish time of 1:17:26, with an overall pace of 12:29 min/mile. Marcella ranked well, finishing 35th in her F50-54 division out of the total 2107 participants. It’s clear that Marcella's consistent pacing strategy had a positive impact. Looking ahead, there’s potential for further improvement, particularly in overall pacing. The significant gain in pace between the first and last miles suggests a potential area of focus could be finding opportunities for such increases consistently throughout the race.
