Steady Pacing with Strong Start Kooper Williams, 17, from San Tan Valley, AZ, demonstrated consistent pacing throughout the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon with a final time of 1:54:01, maintaining an average pace of 8:42 min/mile. Notably, Kooper performed exceptionally well in her division (F15-18), securing 11th place out of the participants. Her initial 1-mile split was a swift 8:07, placing her 2nd in her division at that early stage, showcasing a strong start. Throughout the race, Kooper managed to stay within a tight average pace range, although there is room for focus on maintaining early momentum in the later miles. The seventh and eighth miles took the longest, with paces of 9:04 and 9:08, respectively, indicating opportunities to maintain pace consistency.
