Strong Finishes Define the Day Regan Palmer, from Flagstaff, AZ, delivered a solid performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K. Over the course of 6.2 miles, Regan maintained a consistent pace, finishing with an average pace of 8:53 minutes per mile and an overall time of 55:05. It’s notable that her final mile was her fastest, clocking in at 8:07 per mile. This strong finish helped her secure the 12th place in her division F19-24 and 109th among females out of 2107 participants. Analyzing her splits, Regan showed excellent pacing strategy. She improved on her initial pace of 9:39 in the first mile, progressing consistently. The significant pace improvement from 9:21 in the third mile to 8:35 in the fourth highlights her ability to accelerate mid-race. Regan might consider building on her mid-race speed for future races. Staying consistent and capitalizing on her strong finishing speed could further enhance her overall performance.
