Strong Finish and Steady Improvement Jason Simonton's performance in the 2025 Mesa Marathon's half marathon showcased a steady pace and noticeable improvement over the distance. Starting with a 10:57 min/mile in the first mile, Jason progressively increased his speed. By mile 13, he clocked a swift 9:04 min/mile, indicating a strong finish. His overall elapsed time for the half marathon was 2:12:01, with an average pace of 10:04 min/mile. Throughout the race, Jason demonstrated consistency in his pacing, maintaining a relatively constant pace between 10:05 and 10:25 min/mile from miles 3 to 10. His pacing steadiness was evidenced by his split times, consistently improving particularly from mile 11 onwards. Jason placed well, especially in the M35-39 division, securing the 130th position out of 3859 participants.
