Consistent Pacing Achieved, Strong Finish Shari expertly maintained a consistent pace throughout the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon. From the start, Shari's first two miles were identical at 6:12 per mile, showing dedication to a steady pace. Remarkably, her pace improved with a strong split at the third mile, hitting 5:35 per mile—a key moment contributing to her overall finish. Her strongest pace was recorded during the 13th mile at 5:24 per mile, demonstrating her ability to accelerate and finish strong. Overall, Shari completed the race with an elapsed time of 1:18:41, averaging a 6:00 min/mile pace over the 13.1-mile course. She finished 6th in her division (F30-34) and placed 20th among female competitors. It's noteworthy that her pace fluctuated slightly but remained aggressive, an element that positively influenced her performance. To improve, maintaining those quick milestones more frequently could enhance her next race experience.
