Consistent Improvement Throughout the 10K Elaine McClaren, representing Latinos Run Phoenix, completed the 6.2-mile course at the 2025 Mesa Marathon with a finishing time of 1:48:08. Elaine's pacing showed continuous improvement, starting with a 19:07 min/mile for the first mile and dropping to 16:17 min/mile in her final mile. Her progressive enhancement in pace resulted in an overall pace of 17:26 min/mile. Elaine secured the 74th place in the F50-54 division, showcasing strong positioning among her peers. Elaine's performance indicates a solid progression. Notably, between the fifth and sixth miles, she was able to cut down significant time, moving from a 17:06 min/mile pace to her fastest split of 16:17 min/mile. Maintaining this momentum in future races could work in her favor. With a total of 2107 competitors, Elaine placed 1716th overall, demonstrating resilience and fortitude. Continuing to build on these strengths may enhance her overall placement in subsequent events.
