Steady Pace with Strong Finish in Half Marathon Natalya Thran from Gilbert, AZ, exhibited a consistent pace during the 2025 Mesa Marathon half marathon segment, completing the 13.1-mile course with an overall time of 2:41:32 and a pace of 12:19 min/mile. Starting strong, she clocked her fastest mile at the second split with an 11:08 min/mile. Notably, her pace was maintained around this level up to the 3-mile mark before beginning to steady out in the subsequent miles. Natalya's performance was characterized by consistency, especially in the middle stages of the race. Her initial pace was a strong starting point. However, there was a gradual increase in split times, with splits ranging up to 13:42 min/mile at the later stages. This pattern suggests that focusing on maintaining early momentum in later miles could be beneficial, particularly in miles 8 and 12, where pace showed notable slowing.
