Consistent Early Pace, Challenging Finish Jeric Garcia delivered a consistent start at the 2025 Mesa Marathon, hitting an even 8:38 min/mile for the first mile, maintaining a solid pace through mile 4 with splits ranging between 8:36 to 9:05 min/mile—but eased to a slower pace from mile 5 onwards, with a notable slower pace hitting 11:42 min/mile at mile 5. By mile 16, the pace had increased to 10:12 min/mile, gradually moving up to 10:35 by mile 18. Jeric's mid-race consistency in pacing contributed to maintaining a spot within the middle of the pack.
