Maggie's Steady Pace at the Mesa Marathon Maggie McCaustland, age 48 from Chandler, AZ, completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon with an elapsed time of 6:31:36 and an average pace of 14:56 min/mile. The total marathon distance of 26.2 miles saw Maggie place 1158th among female participants and 117th in her F45-49 age division, finishing 3160th overall out of 3624 participants. Her race displayed consistency, with split paces ranging from 14:18 to 16:01 min/mile, demonstrating a steady effort throughout the distance. A noteworthy aspect of Maggie’s performance was her improvement in endurance as observed near the end of the race, managing her fastest split of 14:10 min/mile at mile 24. Compared to previous races, this marathon showed a decrease in finishing time from her 2023 performance of 5:14:37.
