Consistent Pace with Improving Splits Gloria Quintero Margueri, 26, from Guaymas, competed in the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon. Her overall time was 2:20:22, with an average pace of 10:42 min/mile across the 13.1-mile course. Notably, her pacing was consistent, starting with a 9:59 min/mile for the first mile and maintaining a sub-11:00 min/mile pace until mile 8. Splits ranged from a swift 9:14 min/mile at mile 2 to 11:52 min/mile at mile 8, showing a steady strategy with careful pacing adjustments. In her division of F25-29, Gloria finished in 160th place, marking significant progress from her previous year’s performance at the 2024 Mesa Marathon, where she finished with a time of 2:47:29. Her improvement in pace from 12:47 min/mile last year to 10:42 min/mile this year is commendable.
