Consistent Performance with Potential for Minor Pace Refinements Nixon Farnsworth exhibited a steady performance in the 2025 Mesa Marathon, finishing the half marathon in 2:28:57 with an average pace of 11:22 min/mile. Across the 13.1 miles, his pace began at 10:29 min/mile and showcased slight fluctuations, with split times ranging from 9:24 to 14:05 min/mile. Notably, Nixon maintained a strong start, maintaining a sub-10:00 min/mile pace for a significant part of the race, which is commendable for his age group. Reflecting on the previous year's half marathon, where he clocked in at 2:26:09, the slight increase in time indicates room for enhancing pace consistency, particularly at the latter stages. Focusing on optimizing those middle-to-end splits could be beneficial for future races. Despite the tough competition, Nixon secured a spot at 14th in his division. With targeted training, his already strong performance can become even more refined.
