Steady Performance with Consistent Pacing Finn Farnsworth, a 10-year-old from Gilbert, AZ, completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K with a time of 1:18:20 and an average pace of 12:38 min/mile. Finn demonstrated consistent pacing throughout the race, with his splits showing a gradual increase in pace. He ranked 37th in the M1-14 division, out of a total of 2107 participants, placing him in the top segment of his age group. Finn started strong with an 11:10 min/mile pace in the first mile. Despite a slight slow down in subsequent miles, his consistency was notable, particularly with even efforts between miles 3 and 5. Encouragingly, his average pace did not significantly drop even as the mileage increased, showing good stamina across the race.
