Consistency and Division Leader Julie Swanson consistently led her age division F45-49, finishing first in that category every mile. Her final time of 1:24:42 was complemented by an impressive pace of 6:28 minutes per mile over the 13.1-mile distance. Notably, her fastest split was mile 13, clocking in at 5:57 at a pace, reinforcing her strong finishing speed. Julie demonstrated a slight variation in split times, maintaining paces between 6:08 and 6:52 min/mile. In comparison to previous races, Julie maintains consistency in her performance. Her elapsed time this year was just a few seconds more than her 2022 half marathon. Consistent top finishes in her age group display her strength and competitive edge. As a member of the Delancey Loopers team, she upholds her role effectively. Focusing on maintaining or slightly improving her split consistency, particularly between miles 7 and 11, could further enhance her finish.
