Consistent Pace and Strong Finish Ashley Gamba maintained an impressive performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon. Her steady pacing shone through as she began with an 8:45 min/mile and gradually increased her speed, consistently hitting the 7-minute range. A notable highlight was mile 12, where she achieved her fastest split of 7:15 min/mile, demonstrating her stamina and speed. Throughout the race, she hovered around the 7:42 min/mile pace on average, showcasing a strong finish. Comparatively, Ashley's performance showed significant progress from past races. Her previous half marathon in 2013 saw a pace of 9:10 min/mile, but this race marked a considerable improvement with a total time of 1:40:53. In particular, her place moved from 312th in gender in 2013 to 208th. Continuing to focus on her pacing strategy, especially in the latter half, will be key in future races to sustain her growth trajectory.
