Steady Improvement with Increasing Pace in Each Mile Rachael showed a consistent improvement in pace throughout her 10K race at the 2025 Mesa Marathon. Starting with a 12:20 min/mile in the first mile, she impressively gained speed, reducing each subsequent mile's time significantly. Her final stretch saw an impressive pace of 9:50 min/mile, showcasing her endurance and stamina. The overall elapsed time was 1:08:15, with an 11:00 min/mile pace over the 6.2-mile course. Rachael placed 391st among female participants and finished 55th in her F30-34 division. Starting from an overall position of 879, she climbed to 838 by the end of the race. Maintaining focus on pace consistency without slowing down in the subsequent segments could be an area to target for future improvement. Rachael's performance also demonstrated a strong ability to steadily increase her pace as the race progressed, particularly in the last two miles. Her persistence paid off, providing a solid foundation for future races.
