Date: February 8, 2025 Participant: Chun Hao Liu #15048 Race: 2025 Mesa Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Perfect running conditions at 63°F, partly cloudy skies, and a slight breeze from the east in Mesa, AZ.

Consistent Start with Opportunities for Future Progress Chun Hao Liu demonstrated consistency in his performance during the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon. Beginning with a solid start, he maintained paces under 10 minutes per mile for the first 8 miles. Notably, his fastest split times were at miles 2 and 3, each clocked at an impressive 8:58 min/mile. His overall pace for the race was 10:06 min/mile, which contributed to his completion time of 2:12:31. Towards the latter stages, there was a slight drop in pace, especially during miles 8 and 10 with split times of 10:29 and 12:09 min/mile, respectively. Placing 135th in the M35-39 division among 3859 total participants is commendable, yet fine-tuning the pacing strategy in the latter stages could aid in maintaining or even enhancing future performances. Participating as a team member of TSMC, his efforts reflect dedication that can be built upon in subsequent races.
