Consistent Improvement with a Strong Finish Brandon Goates from Queen Creek, AZ, showed a remarkable performance in the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K, displaying consistent improvement throughout the race. Starting with an 8:59 min/mile pace in the first mile, Brandon steadily increased his speed, improving each split. Notably, he achieved a 7:21 min/mile pace in the sixth mile, the fastest of the race. This sharp enhancement demonstrates effective pacing strategy and perseverance. Brandon finished with an overall time of 52:31 and an 8:28 min/mile average pace, securing 5th place in his M50-54 division. It's commendable that he maintained or improved his divisional standing throughout the race. There's potential to refine pacing in the earlier segments to catapult his performance further.
