Consistent Performance and Strong Division Finish Cassie Barrett, representing PHX Run Club, delivered a well-paced race in the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K. Throughout the 6.2-mile race, Cassie demonstrated consistent improvement with her pacing. Starting with a split pace of 7:31 min/mile, she gradually increased her speed, achieving a final split pace of 5:50 min/mile by mile six. This progression not only reflects her ability to maintain energy and focus but also shows her capability to push harder towards the end. Ending with an overall time of 42:17 and an average pace of 6:49 min/mile, Cassie placed impressively as 2nd in her division (F30-34) out of numerous participants. Her efforts placed her 26th among female competitors overall. While these results are commendable, focusing on maintaining speed in earlier segments could yield an even stronger performance in future races.
